Die WM in Quiberon/Frankreich rückt immer näher und es wird Zeit sich als Teilnehmer mit den Einzelheiten der Veranstaltung zu beschäftigen. Beim Studium der NOR vor einigen Tagen fiel Greg auf, das die Vermessung zwar über 3 Tage ausgeschrieben ist, also von Freitag bis Sonntag, die Teilnehmer sich aber zur Vermessung nur am Freitag und Samstag registrieren lassen können, eine Anreise erst am Sonntag zu spät ist und zumindest mehr Geld kostet:
This is from the worlds NOR and is possibly something people may have missed. There is no registration on Sunday the 24th. Only the friday and saturday. If you turn up and try to register on the sunday it may be accepted but is considered a late entry and will cost another 50%. The idea is to make sure everyone is there by the Saturday so the measurers do not have to wait for latecomers. In the past there have been people turning up 30mins before measurement shuts and expecting the team to be waiting for them. As we are all volunteers and sailors OKDIA decided to try to get it all done if possible earlier so people can then relax and do their own stuff. Measurement is possible on Sunday but if everyone has to be there earlier hopefully most will be completed by then:
3. Eligibility and Entry
3.1 Eligible competitors shall be current members of an OKDIA recognised National OK Dinghy Association. They shall complete on-site registration at the venue prior to close of registration on 23 July 2016, unless the Organizing Authority extends this date. On-site registration after this date will be considered late entry and subject to the Late Entry Fee.
Die Meldeliste umfasst aktuell 111 Teilnehmer aus 10 Nationen und alle der über die deutsche KV gemeldeten 23 Teilnehmer haben pünktlich das Meldegeld überwiesen–Wahnsinn!
